🐺 Homecoming Parade – Friday at 5:30 PM
One of our favorite Homecoming traditions is bringing our students, families, alumni, and community together for the Homecoming Parade! The parade will begin at 5:30 PM on Friday, October 2.
The parade route is included with this message so families and community members can find a great place along the route to cheer on our students, teams, organizations, and Homecoming Court.
Following the parade, we invite everyone to head to the football field as the Genesee Wolves take the field at 7:00 PM for our Homecoming game!
We are looking forward to an outstanding week celebrating what makes Genesee special — our students, our school, and our community.

Get ready for the Fall 2026 season! Before stepping onto the field or court for the first day of practice on August 10th, all student-athletes must have their required paperwork completed and on file.
Requirements Checklist:
Sports Physical: Completed, signed (on the back by parents), and dated.
Concussion Form: Signed by both parent and student.
Deadline: Monday, August 10, 2026
🚨 Important: Athletes without both signed forms on file by August 10th will not be allowed to practice.

Hello all!
It is that time of year for Fall Sports! Come on out and meet the coaches, fellow parents, and the administration! We will be meeting August 25th at 6:30 pm in the High School gymnasium, and from there we will be going to different breakout areas where coaches will have some more one-on-one time with the team and parents. This is a great time for the coaches to get to know the team parents more and for the parents to ask some questions. We will also have game schedules printed for all seasons, and Stacey will be there selling game passes for the Fall Season!
Athletic Game Passes Breakdown for the 2026 School Year:
Student Passes - 10 dollars for the season and 20 for the entire school year.
Adult Passes (single) - 25 dollars for the season and 50 for the entire year.
Family Passes (immediate family only) - 50 dollars for the season and 100 for the entire year.
** These do not count for the District Games; those are separate costs through Go Fan as per MHSAA, and they cannot be used at specific fundraisers such as Powder-Puff or Powder-Buff.

📈 Our students earned an average score of 3, performing right alongside State and Global averages.
🏛️ AP United States Government & Politics
💯 100% scored a 3 or higher, crushing both the Michigan (81%) and Global (75%) averages!
📈 Our students earned an outstanding average score of 4, surpassing both the State and Global mean scores.
🌟 2 students earned the highest possible score of 5!

The girls 4x200 relay team of Chloe Furman, Anijah Johnston, Sophia Thomas, and Selena Hess-Lopez earned 4th place and brought home regional medals. The girls 4x100 relay team featuring Anijah Johnston, Riley Lucas, Selena Hess-Lopez, and Chloe Furman placed 3rd overall.
Anijah Johnston also had an outstanding individual performance, placing 3rd in the 200M Dash.
In the field events, Reginae Randle placed 2nd in Shot Put, qualifying for the MHSAA Division IV State Championships. Fadi Bannoura also earned a regional medal with a 4th place finish in Discus.
On the boys side, the 4x200 relay team of Joey Abbe, Logan Ball, Levi Tuttle, and Devin Rigterink earned a 3rd place finish, while the boys 4x100 relay team of Joey Abbe, Logan Ball, Miguel Avila, and Devin Rigterink also placed 3rd overall.
Delonte Floyd-Blackmon captured a Regional Championship in the 800M Run, earning 1st place and qualifying for the MHSAA State Championships.
Kaleb Wagner had a tremendous day in the throwing events, placing 2nd in both Shot Put and Discus to qualify for the MHSAA State Championships in both events.
Congratulations to all of our athletes and coaches on an outstanding regional performance Friday night.

M-STEP and AP testing will take place at Genesee Jr/Sr High School this week, beginning Tuesday, May 5.
Students in grades 6th, 7th, 8th, and 11th will participate in M-STEP assessments in ELA, math, science, and social studies, while AP students will complete their scheduled exams, including AP Government and AP Literature.
Testing will continue through Thursday, May 7th, with make-up testing scheduled for Monday, May 11th.
We encourage all students to arrive on time and do their best as they showcase their learning!
