🎉 Spirit Days & Pep Rallies - The week kicked off with themed dress-up days and high-energy pep rallies, igniting excitement across campus and uniting students, staff, and families.
🎈 Homecoming Parade & Honoring Mr. Fred Hinz - A highlight of the week was the Homecoming Parade, where floats, student organizations, athletic teams, and the Homecoming Court marched through cheering crowds. This year’s parade held a special tribute: Mr. Fred Hinz was honored posthumously as the 2025 Homecoming Grand Marshal. Mr. Hinz served 17 years on the Genesee School Board, awarded countless scholarships, and championed the district at every level. His son, Matt Hinz, accepted a commemorative gift on behalf of the family, followed by touching remarks from Superintendent Brett Young. Mr. Hinz’s legacy continues to inspire the Wolves community.
🏈 Friday Night Lights Victory - The Wolves football team triumphed over Bentley High School with a 20–3 win, marking their third straight conference victory. The cheer team kept spirits high, joined by youth cheerleaders who performed each quarter and added extra energy to the stadium.
🎗️ Childhood Cancer Awareness Tribute- Before kickoff, Genesee mother Sharon Stuck shared a powerful message in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. She spoke about her son, Kaleb, and the enduring impact of his memory—especially within this year’s senior class. Her words were a moving reminder of love, resilience, and the strength of the Wolves family.
👑 Homecoming Court Recognition - The 2025 Homecoming Court was honored during halftime of the Wolves’ football game, celebrating students for their leadership, school spirit, and positive impact. This year’s King, Roman Banno, was crowned the night before during the Powderpuff game—a tradition that added extra excitement to the week’s festivities. At halftime, Averie Zinn was crowned Queen, joined by fellow queen candidates Kiera Little, Charly Menzel, and Riley Lucas. King candidates also included Joey Abbe and Logan Ball.
The full court featured:
Freshman Prince Aiden Potvin and Princess Kaydence Juliano
Sophomore Prince Takoda Boulis and Princess Allison Abbott
Junior Prince Delonte Floyd-Blackmon and Princess Reginae Randle
Their presence throughout the week reflected the pride, unity, and spirit of the Genesee community.
💙 A Week to Remember - Homecoming Week was a beautiful reflection of Genesee’s unity, pride, and enduring traditions.
Let's Go Wolves!
